Defending Families Coalition is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting families and defending parental and constitutional rights for those impacted by child welfare, custody, and court systems.
The Coalition supports families by providing education, advocacy navigation, documentation guidance, and accountability pathways so parents can better understand their rights, the process, and available oversight options.
Defending Families Coalition does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Instead, the organization focuses on empowering families with information, support, and community connection while promoting transparency, ethical conduct, and accountability within systems that affect children and families.
The organization is rooted in the belief that families deserve protection—not punishment—and that children are best served when families are informed, supported, and treated with dignity.

FOUNDERS’ STATEMENT
Defending Families Coalition was founded by parents who experienced firsthand how overwhelming and isolating system involvement can be.
What began as a fight to protect our own families became a commitment to ensure no parent has to navigate these systems alone or in the dark. We built Defending Families Coalition to bring clarity where there is confusion, support where there is silence, and accountability where there is harm. Families deserve better—and together, we are building it.
